Bennington Battle Monument (picture at left) - Revolutionary War memorial - General John Stark's forces, with the help of the Green Mountain Boys, defeat two detachments of British forces under the command of General Burgoyne - 10 min. from track.

Clark Art Institute - World class art museum, more than worthwhile even if you're not a patron of the arts - 20 minute drive to Williamstown, MA.

Mass MoCA - Contemporary Art in 800,000 sq. ft of exhibition space. See the trees growing upside down. 35 minute drive to North Adams, MA (entrance fee).

Skateboard Park - right next to the track. There is also basketball, volleyball, (2) playgrounds, paved walking paths, picnic areas and public restrooms.

Strip Mall with J.C. Penny's, K-Mart and other stores near the track entrance.
Berkshire Mall - medium sized mall with J.C. Penny's, Sears, Filenes, Best Buy, Movies, 45 min. south.
Manchester, VT - upscale factory outlets, 30 min. north.
Downtown Bennington - many shops and stores.
